afaik it is the only Open Source AntiVirus available (i could be wrong)
ClamWin
if you think that since it is free/open source then it might not be good, well think again.
read this to know "Who's using ClamAV".

If anyone has the links for software similar to Aston Shell, can they please post them. I loved Aston Shell but didn't feel like paying for it (or had the money).

I know there was an open source one on Sourceforge, I just can't remember the name of it.

NTFS for Windows 98: Allows for reading and writing of NTFS partitions on Windows 95 - 98SE.
NTFS for DOS: Allows for reading and writing of NTFS partitions on MS-DOS.
Regmon: Shows all regstry activity in real-time on all 9x and NT Windows operating systems. There's also a 64-bit version for 64-bit Intel processors.
Filemon: Shows all file system activity in real-time on all 9x and NT Windows operating systems. There are also 64-bit versions for both Intel and AMD 64-bit processors.

Many more nice freeware utilites are at Sysinternals Freeware. I just picked the ones that I found to be most useful (that I have actually used). Most of the programs are open source, too.

little update @ sourceforge.net:
Quote:
On April 24th, a new functionality level will be introduced in the database. There are a few signatures which can't be used by pre-0.70 scanner engines, so we need you to upgrade immediately to 0.70. Clam AntiVirus is a GPL virus scanner featuring: * scanning into multiple archives (such as .deb and .tar.gz) * mutated Aho-Corasic algorithm (very fast scanning) * multi-threading, autodetecting the number of CPUs * POSIX compliance
